Across the lagoon from Kalpitiya is the Vilpattu National park, where you get the best chance in the world in spotting a Leopard. The park boast other animals such as Elephants, Wild boar, Deer ect. You can also watch the many birds that come over during their migrations across the world. Make sure to catch a dancing Peacock!
